Hi Guys, long time lurker and relatively new owner of a nbs denali.

Its time for me to do new brakes. I already have goodridge ss brake lines sitting in the garage. I'm doing the 07 tahoe front calipers as well. Im pretty stuck on hawks because I can get a pretty good discount through work.

Seems like squeaking is hit or miss and a lot of variables can dictate whether or not it does squeak, which I'm okay with if they do. Ive searched and I'm not finding the exact answers to my questions.

Between the hps and lts, does one have substantially better braking performance than the other? and does one have a noticeably better cold bite?

Im more concerned with the cold bite. Towing is very rare for me, maybe down the road. Im going to use the r1 concepts eline slotted rotors if that makes a difference

If there is a thread that discusses this please send me the link
Thanks guys, this forum rocks!

I was debating the same thing, but the guys I got my Hawk pads just said to go with the Hawk Ceramics since I rarely tow. SS brake lines, dross drilled rotors, and Hawk ceramic pads. Stops quick! I ran HPS pads on my vette before going to HP+ and they were a great pad with little dust and no noise. With all that, I'll probably run the HPS next time I do pads, in 5 years. LOL
