that is correct. you have to lower the bumper only if you go with the whole hd conversion

What does the grill look like after to cut it? Like off the vehicle? And where do you cut it?

Cut the hd grille 1" only and it will fit Perfect with the ss bumper or factory bumper

It will need a little more than a 1" just for the fact it doesn't sit directly on you bumper pad and scratch it all to hell. That was the problem I ran inot when I did it on my nbs
