So i was looking for a brighter low beam bulb and i got the SilverStar zXe by sylvania as a direct replacement since its like an HID... I cleaned out the lenses on the head lights and made them clear and its still not bright enough.. Does anyone know of a different bulb that would be just like that one but brighter from different brand/maker or should i just switch out the whole head light glass or both? any options? I really dont want to go to the HIDs just yet... Want to get them before this coming friday if possible... If someone know of a LED Bulb that would just plug and play that would be brighter, i wouldnt mind doing that ether... just want it to be brighter and have a better light range while driving at night...

If you do not want his as high beams use superstar ultras. Next best thing to his themselves. If it still looks crappy it is not your bulbs it is your fixtures. They play the big the roll of beam patterns range.

HIDs are extremely easy to install. DDM Tuning has there raptor kits for $45 IIRC. just picked up a set for the Sonoma. (have a set of TYC housings and HID's on the Tahoe.) Both Night and Day difference than normal bulbs. Running 35watt 6000K's on both.

if you have an extra $15 they have a premade Headlight harness that runs them off the battery and not through the headlight switch. may save you having to mess with the switch later (some have problems on normal bulbs.) its also plug and play.

I think i might want to order that then... Do u have a link to that? And what does it all mean by the hardness? I want something that its almost plug and play.. Dont want to mess around to much of doing extrass for them to work.. And what would be the best cheap and clean original look i could get to replace? ALso, Should i worry about getting a better alternator so my battery wont die Since i only have the stock one thats 105 amp alt... Now i heard that the 2003 tahoe 145 amp alt is a direct bolt on and will work for my rig.. Should i get that or a bigger amp alt?

I found these..

http://www.ddmtuning.com/product.php?II=102

Now what exactly do i need to order? I have a 99 4door 4wd hoe.. I will get the 5000k light or 6000k.. I want to get the hardness and everything where i dont have tho re-wire anything.. Or what is everthing i need to get so they can work properly when i turn my lights on?

Also, My day lights use to be on all the time before, is there a reason why they are not on no more?

Never heard of sylvania silverstar "ZXE" but silverstar ultra are there best short of hids. Use ddms slim balast 35w 5k 9006 bulb type for lows and 55w 6k 9005 bulb type for high if you wont those. Keep in mind It take a moment to light up not if you do not have a 4high mode and you intend on flashing with your high beams then stick with halogens. You should be fine without addind relays but if they flicker or cut off while on grab a relayed headlight harness.

If you daytime running lights quit working but low beams still work thru head switch. Either the coil in the DRL relay is burned out, the DRL module is broken or the DRL fuse that feeds heads in DRL mode is burned out. If anything but the module is burned out it would be good idea to repair it and install a relayed headlight harness to get the OEM wiring to a more less stress electrical state. The module technically does not "carry and pass" high current but do fail occasionally.

Should i get the harness duel in/dual out, error code eliminator type 3, adaptor cables, or mounting brackets with that or no? and how could i do the 4hi mode? is it easy?

Also, should i upgrade the alternator from 105 amps to 145 amps or no? i just instaled the gauge/HVAC cluster LED lights?

For head light housing, Im looking at ANZO head light housing with euro halos... Is their a cheaper and good quality housings that wont leak water inside or fog up?

Talking about my day lights... Where could i locate those items and check to see if some wired is burned or Broke?

Im trying to get this done before i go to Fort Worth on Friday to get my BB Tune...

harness maybe it depends on if you have flickering problems. no error eliminators or adapter cables or brackets just stick the ballasts on to the radiator support frame. I used extreme Velcro my self. Alt is fine. Regular Anzo crystal clears like I have cost $115 at amazon. No leaks on mine. They may condense internally at times like some other but it is normal, not really that bad when it does and burns off from bulb heat quickly. I have only seen it happen once. And Anzo explains why with an notice insert in packaging. Drl relay is on convenience center module is in gray plastic case taped to huge harness under dash.
