So, just a couple hours ago, I was hit head on by an extremely intoxicated driver that was driving the wrong way on a one way.
I had no time to react, as he was coming into the one way instead of turning either left or right because the road he was on was ending before the one way street I was on. He continued straight into me (if that made any sense...), fortunately I was going at a low rate of speed while he was doing ~40km/h. Long story short, the push guard (GoRhino3000) I had installed had (to my extreme surprise) done a good job in saving a lot of damage to my car (as well as thankfully no airbags were deployed, it wasn't bad enough that they were req. but im sure they would have gone off w/o the bar and well that would have practically written my brand new baby off in an insurance/value stand point). His car still continued to wretch along the left side of my car.

Ultimately my car is still drivable, steering is extremely out of alignment, brakes feel normal and the wheel/tire is quite bashed up. Surprisingly the bumper and push bar is quite intact (of course bumper is cracked and such, but the fog light isn't damaged somehow). I left after writing my statement to the police and watching the irresponsible man be arrested (the officer told me he blew well over .25 and the legal limit here is .05), and as I was driving the car notified me an issue with the 4wd system and the tcs/stabilitrack was disabled. I could not re enable, even after restarting the car multiple times. My home was not too far away, so I continued on home.

I just drove it to the gas station to get some items, and there was no longer any notification of anything.

I need to drive this car tomorrow and I have zero time (being sunday, too) to get an inspection, and need the 4wd/winter tires to safely drive to where I need to be.

All of the above stated, in your opinion (I'm not gunna hold you liable if I get injured lol) would I be ok to drive ? Is there the possibility of chassis/frame damage ? and are my struts or what ever is causing the steering wheel alignment severe enough to my safety to not drive it at all ?

Thanks for the help, glad I had sustained no injuries definitely could have ended up worse if either of us were going faster.

I would not drive it. Let insurance deal with it and go get a rental. You could make things worse by driving it. Insurance could claim some of the damage was done after the accident since you continued to drive it.

Dont risk your own safety either. Its not worth it. Find a ride from a neighbor or something. What happens if you lose control and YOU hit someone head on. (Not saying you will)

Yea go get a rental and let the insurance do what they need to do. It is very possie that the frame is bent. Is the guard mounted on where the tow hooks are or used to be? If so im betting that theres possible frame bend. But damn dude glad that the drunk didnt do actual damage to you. The truck can be repalced and all but you cant. Did you go to the hospital? i would go and get checked out even if yoy dont hurt just to be safe. The insjrance will cover the costs anyways so better safe then sorry

It may not look like much but there could be damage underneath. For one your radiator and condensor are right there and it may have got punctured causing leaks. Get the car fully checked out. Besides its his insurance that will be covering everything so you should not have to pay a dime
