Looking at headers on Ebay, there are some nice looking stainless headers that say they'll fit on a 2001 Silverado, Denali, 1500, 2500 etc but says it won't fit on my 2001 Sub 2500 with 6.0. Aren't Silverados and Suburbans virtually identical from the drivers seat forward??

Also wondering if lift kits for 2500 Silverados are the same and will fit? Cant find a lift kit for a 2500 "Suburban" anywhere!

I am the original owner of a pristine 2001 2500 Sub with 6.0 4l80 4x4 with 120k miles. I have started some upgrades to make a nice mountain rig for ski trips, camping etc. I plan one bumping the HP with a cam, intake, exhaust upgrade and putting a lift on the front.

Only difference I can think of would be the extra heater hoses that provide heat to the 2nd and 3rd row.
Don't see how that'd get in the way of headers.

Not only that, what - if any - are the external differences between a 4.8L, a 5.3L, and a 6.0L from 2001, that would get in the way of headers?

Does it say those headers would NOT work in a 1500 Suburban?
If they'd would work in a 1500 Suburban, why would they NOT work in a 2500 Suburban?

Get the lift for a 2500 Silverado if yours has the leaf spring rear end then everything will bolt up the same up front
They make some bad ass duel shock hoop kits for those 2500s

Same with the headers. Even though there’s no external difference between the 4.8-6.0 there is a difference in the front suspension in a 2500 vs a 1500 your best bet would be to find a decent set of Longtubes for a 2500 Silverado. I’ve had good luck with speed engineering Longtubes. Had 3 sets now and multiple friends who’s ran them also beware those eBay ones could very will fit horribly and it would be worth the extra 100-150$ to get the speed engineering ones for better figment

If you go over 6” of lift you may have to get the drive shaft extended or a custom one made to accommodate

For a 2500 6.0L Burb you should be checking out 2500 Silverado chassis options for headers and lift kits.

If speed engineering has headers specific for a Burb, get those.

The 1500 Silverado headers will fit the 2500 Suburban chassis. There are just too many options for them to list all of them in their listing.
