Headers?

mpg still the same hasn't gone down nore up for me but then again i haven't tuned the truck yet...

Thanks for the links!! So I have a black bear ecu that the previous owner installed. I have no idea how it's tuned. If I got the headers how do I have it retuned? Do I contact BB? anyone know a ballpark price for it if so? That is gonna affect the bottom line price I have to chat with the wife about lol

You can get them and run them, you will benefit from a re tune but not required.

I still want to know how they effect mpgs. Heres my next question. I saw some polished stainnless ones with y pipe for 300 on ebay. Any thoughts?

I just installed a set of these 2 weeks ago on a 2000 silverado. They are a very nice header for the price. I would recommend them for sure. Their collectors are small like 2 1/2 instead of 3 inch, but if your not planning to make big power then that does not matter at all.

I would say that you wouldn't notice any type of MPG change with headers, but I could be wrong.

IMO never get shorty headers, even though their cheaper they do nothing for performance.

The only ones that were $300 that I saw were short tube and had no Y pipe..

Damn cheaper ones are backordered til mid June, dropped 200$ more on the same ones from someone else...Gotta get this in before tuning meet next month!
