Ok so did it. Done. 8 minutes to do both sides. So raiderron, i have no idea what vehicle you described :wtf: not even close to my '99 denali. Bigal, however, almost dead on. I did have to remove the 2 screws & the signal lite housing to actually pull the headlite housing out. I approached the 1st one with some trepidation, hence the 8 minute time. When i swap the philips 3000k's i had laying around for some PIAA 5000's, i think i can do it in 5

I googled 99 Denali and pasted what came up. Sorry, could not see what you have thru the computer. Could you hold the computer closer next time so I can see better? Thanks! LOL!

Realize this is a old thread but I am having a issue where the 5mm bolt(rod) that is on the inner side on both sides turns but does not come right out, thus releasing the headlight assembly, the outside rods do (again on both sides). what am I doing wrong and what are my next options? I tried pulling them out with force without much success.

could someone post some pics after removal so that I know what I am working with... this way I know which way to wiggle/bend to make them release. as they turn without much effort I am certain they are bent or caught on something in there...

thx in advance

What vehicle do you have? If it's a 99 Denali like the op in the thread then it's fairly simple. It's a simple righty tighty, lefty loosie bolt. It can be difficult so try applying a bit of pressure on the headlights in an upward motion to take some of the pressure off the bolt. Also, trying putting the other bolt back in and remove the difficult one first. With the turn signal removed you should be able to see into the opening to see if the bolt is caught on something or stripped and/or broken.
