I got a 1995 Tahoe and really want to get some bright bulbs for my hi-beams. As bright as possible without going HID because of the charge time. I just want to know what type of bulbs I have in my car. H7 or H1 or some other type of H I really just would like to know

If composites you would need the 9005 for high beam and get some sylvania ultras. set you back about $50

the sylvania ultras are pretty damn bright, i put some in my low beams and there pretty much as bright as my highs now so the high beams should be pretty damn bright

dude for the same price as high end sylvannia's you can get HID's. check out the ddm tuning 35 watt 9005 kit they are 3 times brighter and cost about the same (or even less)

unknown at this time.
I think it's sealed beam though ..it's a 95 aren't all of them sealed beam?

Composites have two wires sets per side and is very rectangular. Sealed beam is A H6054 with one wire set and is mostly squarish. chances are you have composites use the 9005 for high beam and look for the silverstar ultra version. the sealed beams you can get in silverstar but not silverstar ultra. Pics below for reference.

it depends on if he has the work truck front end with the sealed beams or the normal composite front end.

Thanks for the replies. I have composite I just checked it out. I just want the brightest lights I could possibly have for hi-beams..rather not be HID but if thats the brightest I can get that that's fine. I just want some really bright lights if I need em and I don't care if they're illegally bright. My lo-beams are fine.
