So I replaced my headlight assembly recently with some clear lenses. I think they are spyder brand but I'm not sure I bought them from a local shop (those of you from Texas, specifically dfw area...traders village is where they came from) anyways the headlights I replaced were hazed but I noticed they were Sylvania brand. They had AMAZING light output just looked bad. The new ones aren't near as good in output. So what I'm looking to do is completely clean the lenses on my old to get as clean as I can to put them back on. If I remove the plastic clear lense, what will I use to seal it back when I'm done? And while I have them open I was thinking of maybe modding them and putting a couple led strips on the inside, but Outside edge of them. Sort of like halos but rectangular like the headlight obviously. Thanks guys!

Most people use jb weld. Some will silicon around around the jb weld for a double seal.

Okay thanks. What do you think of the led idea? Dumb and shouldn't even try or possibly neat looking?

I actually think it's a pretty good idea and it would look cool. The only thing I would do is turn the drls off since the leds would be serving their purpose.

Well mine is a 95 model so I luckily won't have to mess with the drls because mine doesn't have them :)

Cleaned them up and they look a thousand times better. Not quite as clear as the new ones but enough that it won't look dumb on the truck and I can keep my super headlights lol. Couldn't get into the housing though. When Sylvania made them they did a damn good job of sealing them up, so no led mod :/
