Hello,
I have a 2005 tahoe Lt. I've recently noticed that the headlight switch is not working when I try to turn on the parking lights or headlights. The DRLs are working and all lights come on when the sensor in the dash realizes its dark out. The button to turn off the dome light works and the dimmer wheel works, just not the knob to manually turn on the lights. I'm guessing the entire switch needs to be replaced? Anyone have anything like this before? Thanks for your help!

I would take the switch out and disassemble it. The selector switch has a couple prongs that rotate on semi circle metal paths. They ca become corroded and cause to much resistance for the switch to work properly. If that's the case a small piece of sand paper some alcohol and a qtip will clean it right up. After that smear a little die electric grease on it and boom.

If /when you take it apart please take pictures so we can better see what's goin on internally.
