Headlights randomly going out and no brake lights

Anybody ever deal with the headlights just randomly going out? Last night we were driving the Tahoe home and the headlights went completely out. And there are no brake lights either. The top light comes on but that's it.

probably the circuit boards in the tail lights if you put new bulbs in and they still dont work..as for the headlamps going on and off headlight switch is failing and the breaker is opening when its overheating
