Ok im new to this my 99 yukon has an issue with the head lights and im going nuts with it. With the head lights on and driveing they will switch from bright or dim to the drl mode on their own. Some mornings when i go out to go to work i turn on my lights and the drl will come on then when it feels like it the headlights switch to normal functions anyone had this problem or any ideas? :help:

Sounds like the headlight on signal made up of twelve volts is not making it from the head-switch to the drl module. you can try a new switch or re-seat the drl module card in its socket to ensure a good connection. module is in a plastic case usually taped to the biggest wire harness under your left side dash.As for high to low beam(if that is what you meant) that is more of a multi-switch on the steering column. Is that what you were asking?

I can be driveing with the lights on high or low an i hear a relay click then the green drl indicator turns on and the only thing that changes is that i cant switch fron high to low then maybe a mile later i hear the same click and all is normal. Sounds like the click is comeing from the drl module hope thats a better description then my last post

Yeah was going to say that if the dash light is cycling it is usually the headlight switch not telling the drl system it current mode of operation. Forget the thread sorry.
