Headligths going out

The headlights on my '97 Yukon have been going out on me. They go dim, out, dim, then back to normal (5-10 sec.) and during this time there is a buzzing noise that comes from the headlight switch.

I'm going to start looking at wrecking yards next week for another headlight switch, but was wondering if anyone has seen this issue and if changing the switch fixed it.

I had an '02 Sierra that did a similar problem. Except the lights would flicker. It was a bad switch. I replaced it and the problem was gone. Since yours is making a buzzing noise, I'd say your switch is fried. Good luck.

your head light switch or wire output is shorting out somewhere downstream.
