the heat in my truck blows out warm but not hot. new thermostat, new blower motor, heater core was replaced about five years ago. any ideas?

personally i'd remove that. i did and i get wicked heat now.
That does work good, but I'm far enough south of you, that I use Air Conditioning more than heat...........

That seems like a really good idea!
Might be one of those 'doh' moments as to why didn't I do this sooner!
Living five hours north of you it gets colder up here!!!!
We often joke that up here its so cold that we only have two months of bad skiing!

ok....so what does it matter if the valve is removed? its not like you only have heat.....That does work good, but I'm far enough south of you, that I use Air Conditioning more than heat...........
I don't think the air con can over power the heater core in the cooling mode.
Like in the defrost mode when the air cond is on and the heater core easily makes hot air. The air con, dries the air and then the heater core heats it up.
It's that valve that varies the flow of hot antifreeze to the heater core.
