From GM Authority: "While GM has managed to bring the heated steering wheel back to the order books for these two SUVs, there are still supply constraints related to other power/electronic features on the Tahoe and Suburban due to the chip shortage. This includes Heated Front Seats, Ventilated Front Seats, Heated Outboard Rear Seats and Front and Rear Park Assist. It’s currently unclear when these items will be re-added to the vehicle’s list of options, but rest assured, GM Authority will be the first to report on the matter once we get more information."

can anyone with a recent build confirm that heated seats are now not being produced?
I just took ownership of a 2022 Tahoe LT on Friday. I had ordered it in January. It has the heated seats in both rows but retrofitted for the heated steering wheel and for park assist.

so my build is in transit (TPW 3/14). The dealer listing for it says:
-Not Equipped with Heated Steering Wheel (-$25)
-Not Equipped with Front and Rear Park Assist (-$50)
-Not Equipped with Heated or Ventilated Front Seats (-$50)
-Not Equipped with Steering Column Lock (-50)

Presumably all of these will be retrofitted later. They better be!
What does say it on the window sticker?

It should say if they are or not. Mine was built on 3/28, should be delivered on 4/15.... and my window sticker is showing this:

CREDIT

NOT EQUIPPED WITH -STEERING COLUMN LOCK CREDIT

NOT EQUIPPED W/ HEATED SEATS; INCLUDES LATER RETROFIT

NOT EQUIPPED W/ FRONT/REAR PARK ASSIST; INCLUDES LATER RETROFIT

I think GM decided to go ahead and build the vehicles without the chips for certain features. Looking at window stickers, I see several options that have a -$50. I've been told that they drop $50 off of the price of an ordered option with the promise to install the required chip once it becomes available with no promise of when that might be. I've also heard that some people who have ordered a vehicle aren't told of this until they go in to pick it up. After hearing this, I cancelled my order that I placed back in November. Once they can start delivering the vehicles as ordered and fully functional, I'll consider putting my order back in.

It’ll be in the sticker window, whether or not the features removed will be retrofitted. It would say it next
To every line item where there is a credit and a description.

If it doesn’t say it on there, and it shows it’s removed, don’t expect it to be

This is what happened to me. I picked up my Yukon SLT over the weekend, and if I hadn't noticed the price being slightly lower than expected on the paperwork they sent at delivery I wouldn't have found out about the missing equipment until I showed up. Mine was missing:
Steering Column Lock (no retrofit)
4-Way Lumbar (2-way instead)
Heated Steering Wheel (retrofit summer 22)
Heated/Cooled Front and Heated Rear Seats (retrofit summer 22)
Forward and Rear Park Assist (retrofit Q4 22)

Once again….I am so glad that I found my 22 Z71 in stock….. the one I was planning on ordering would have a December 2021 Orderiing date so probably April delivery…..with all the constraints.

My delivery was early 12/21 and had heated 1st, 2nd row and steering wheel, 2nd row buckets, sliding console, and all the Z71 off road package contents.

The only trade out to make perfect would be the 6.2 but delete the rear seat entertainment. Other dealers were getting 6.2 without RSE but losing the center console.

Then again with the Ruskies invading Ukraine, and fuel prices….up up and away, I am glad I can run the 5.3 on regular 87 unleaded.

I have a 22 Tahoe that I purchased in early May and still have seen nothing on the retrofits that Im supposed to receive I was told in summer of 22. Front and rear seat heat and cooling, front and rear assist and steering lock I know for sure. Can I expect to receive them in the near future?
