Heater not blowing to designated areas.

My heater and AC both work. Fan works. But when I choose to direct the air to the floor for instance, it doesn't divert the flow to the floor very well. Not like it used to. Instead, it feels like a moderate amount of air is being blown to all three areas (defrost, dash vents, and floor).

All my buttons on the dash are lighting up and working as far as I know.

Does anyone have a fix?

Any recent work done lately? Did the cruise problem and the heater flow problems show up at the same time? Check for vacuum leaks? Possibly a module. Like this controller...https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=85835&cc=1353721&jsn=3508


We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.


If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

It might be that your blender door in the main box broke and fell down. That was exactly what happened to me.

It involves removing/dropping the dash to get to. @east302 has a great thread about it and I did mine too.
