Hey guys,
I'm having trouble with my heater on my 2001 Tahoe. The air conditioning is working but not very cold. When I turn the knob over all the way to hot, I don't get any heat at all. It just keeps blowing cool air. Even with AC on it doesn't really feel any cooler then with the AC on. I'm sure the AC needs charged but I'm not sure why I wouldn't be getting any heat. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Pat

Mine was doing that so I replace the module in the dash with the HVAC controls.. Didn’t help.
So I pulled the lines off the fire wall and back flushed the core, all better.

Yours sounds more like the control module. Thermostat is not going to affect your air

Good luck!

I'm having an issue with JUST the heat on my 04 yukon. I can turn it up to 90 on the thermostat and it's just moderately warm...and it's just now getting cold here in Tennessee, and having to rely on just the seat warmers isn't fun...at all. Could mine me a bad thermostat as well even though my air works just fine and blows out super cold air?

Gents..

You know what? My wife has been telling me that the heater does not work properly, it does not get really hot. Short haul ok but cold on highways. She is the one driving the Yukon.

Well today I took it for a ride getting the seats for one of our Porsches. I like....I was freezing my B**** off. Temperature outside today was 3*. As soon as I got home I got on this forum to investigate. All good advises range from thermostat to heater core via the vaccum valve.
I started out with the easiest task I could think of.

Under the glovecompartement You will find the passenger cabin air filter. Take a look. If it's just as dirty as mine You are in for a suprise. If You remove and change the filter.
taratitatitaa....voila.....It is blowing hot air once again.

Enjoy.

mine doesnt have a cabin filter. it blows hot and then if i turn the fan and temp down it goes cold. only way to get it hot again is to turn the fan back up and crank it to 90
