So I got a 02 Tahoe LS 4x4 that I have been slowly fixing and replacing parts its got alittle over 124k on it and I can tell the suspension is used up. Back story on the truck its been with me in Alaska to Texas to New York and now to South Carolina so some of parts have gotten some good use. Im looking for something like a "Heavy Duty" ish suspension or stiffer ride. Its got new Rancho shocks so springs is that im looking at. I know the control arms ball joints and other parts need to be replaced. any input would be great.

Pitman arm, ideler arms, upper control arms with ball joints, same for lower controls, new jounce stops for the front, you could crank your keys to also stiffen up but ride height will change. May have worn tbars themselves. Z71 springs new in rear. New rear bumps stops. Thicker rear endlinks and rear swaybar, same up front. Better shocks that's stiffer and rated for the vehicle and load. E-rated tires. You could go with all heavy duty components as well like rareparts.

Your ride will be super stiff.

hahaha suspension is "used up" after 124k
Are you driving the tahoe equivalent of the General Lee?

If you want to really stiffen it up, swap the torsion bars out for GL's (or XG's) , put in stiffer sway bars, and swap out for stiffer rear springs. You can replace your control arms but it won't do anything. And if you check your bj's and they don't wobble, replacing them won't do anything.

Nothing needs to be replaced. 124,000 on stock parts really isn't anything. Maybe shocks wearing out. Anything else is mostly wasteful. You'll spend thousands replacing perfectly good control arms and other parts for no change.
