Hello. I'm new here. I've been on the performance truck.net and was active on the gmt400 forum previously.
I have a 1999 Silverado since college. I retired from daily driver and bought a 2006 Suburban 2500 LQ4 2wd as a daily about 3 years ago. I absolutely love it.
I actually bought a similar suburban 2004 year, but 4x4. It's a project truck, but haven't really worked on it much. Plan was to use that as a weekend camping and off-road rig.
After I retired the 1999 it sat for a while and did a 4.3 to 5.3/4L80e because that engine had developed low oil pressure and the transmission had a valve body code. It's a 2wd, so swap was pretty easy.
I mostly work on stuff that wears and maintenance, but have learned on diagnostics. Mostly doing all mechanical work myself lately as I learn.
