Reminds me of a Monday morning trip from Erie to Pittsburgh and back. 91 deer heading south and 93 counted on the way back. That was around the time the hunting restrictions were so strict, the herds too large became diseased.
We live in the northern part,not u.p. but deer are common and body shops make a killing

Used to drive a truck in the north and we put these little whistles on our bumpers that were supposed to alert or scare off the deer. Thankfully we never hit one. My closest call was out in the country west of Erie, Pa one night, a whole herd ran out of the woods and around us to the field on the other side, that was in a different vehicle. Down here we do have to watch for deer but also hogs and gators in the spring though not nearly as often as what y'all experience.
