So, I have been posting here for a bit. (And reading/lurking for a bit more).

Which makes me realize that I did not properly introduce myself here!

I recently got a 1999 Yukon Denali and it is, like my other GM vehicles, a dream to drive. (My other GM vehicles are a 1969 Longbed and a 1979 Caballero.) The Caballero I believe, is a 79 1/2. As it had the C-4 system. A guinea pig type of setup from GM that used an electronic "feedback" type carburetor.(E2ME?) :) (Took me a bit of time on that one to rebuild the wiring harness for the ecm, replace the o2 sensor, temp sensor, then finally replace the ecm and prom chip). The 1969 is straight power (and no smog check).

The smoothness of this 1999 fuel injection system's acceleration! The power! ;)

So I am trying to learn as much as I can about it...

...It's common/known problems, and try to help other users out along the way with my common knowledge of older engines.

I am somewhat handy with computer software/hardware. (Although, I admit, it has been a long time since I have burned an EEPROM).

Sometimes I might seem to reply to too many topics? But this Engine/Drivetrain REALLY interests me!

So far, I have replaced/updated the composite intake manifold gaskets, the spider injector assembly, the water pump, and radiator.

I still need to repair the ignition system but did not want to tinker with both ignition and fuel injection systems simultaneously.

I'm about ready to jump into the transmission/transfer case assembly inspection. (Transfer case pump rub?) :burnout:

Oh and my favorite brew is Third Shift by BAND of BREWERS. :)
