I just purchased a 2013 Yukon SLT. It has a factory Bose speakers but I do not know what specific factory radio is installed other than it looks like the one in the video below. When I try to connect my S8 phone through the usb to play audio it says usb not compatible. What do I need to do to connect?

I am also confused as to whether or not I can connect through Bluetooth. I can pair the phone with no problem for phone use. I found the video below that shows connecting via Bluetooth through the XM interface but my radio has XM and doesn’t seem to show the options exactly as the video shows.

Welcome Todd. Have you read through your owner's manual and the XM/Sirius manual? If you post your "U" RPO codes, the sheet in your glove box, we can tell which radio and system you have.

First thing you need to do : Try another phone.

or

1.Disconnect battery Negative for 1 minute and connect it back again. Try to pair your phone.
(Why): because sometimes XM module hang and not responded.

2.Disconnect XM module wires let it reset(Module locate under glove box. Try to pair your phone.

3.Check your car SPI what kind of options you have.

Haven't tried disconnecting but I'm now more confused at what I have. Here is a picture of my options and the radio. If I have decoded it correctly I should have a U2K unit. When I Google this unit, it doesn't look like what I have. The unit I have looks like most if the units that I saw in other similar Yukon SLTs that I looked at.

Unfortunately, there was no owner's manual in the vehicle when I purchased it.

edit:: actually I'm pretty sure your factory radio will not stream music from your phone thru usb or Bluetooth you have to use the AUX port and mini jack to mini jack cable, you can however use a ipod thru usb.
