Help connect map lights to dome lights

I used a 1N4001 diode. You can get it at any Radio Shack.

Bump for me!! I gotta get this mod done this week! Only wish that someone had a pic of what they did for their front map/dome lights!!
Brucebly, which dome light did you use as a power lead for the map lights?
