Help figuring out differences in knuckles

Hey everyone,

I am in the process of replacing most of the front end suspension.

Can anyone help me figure out what the difference between these two parts are aside from one being aluminum? Is one discontinued? Does one have difference dimensions?

Hard to tell from the posted info. I think a call to a GM service department might have to be made to help explain. If all the same parts (except material) I could easily see aluminum being a better choice for weight savings on a suspension.

If you figure this one out please post the answer.

The aluminum parts use a different ball joint size and/or taper than the iron ones.
