Help I have Rats.

The previous owner had rats painted on the fenders holding a bow tie that says trn & brn. While that was great for him when he had the supercharged LS6 under the hood the current 350 dosen`t warrent any type of rat and as the new owner I want the rats gone. Anyone know how to removethem and not hurt the clear coat below?

So Im guessing this is not a sticker/vinyl/graphic?

Is it painted on with a clear coat over-top?

I would have it done at a shop too personally. I know it can be removed via paint remover, etc but I would be too afraid of damaging the clear coat/paint underneath and would leave it to a professional.

The rat does not have clear over it. the rat was painted on top of the factory clear. I have been told easy off oven cleaner works or wet sand it. I was just wondering if any of you have experiance with this type of thing. I have toalked to the pros and they just want to much money. for what they want to charge I will cover it with some kind of sticker first.

You should be able to wet sand it if you are careful enough. Sand it down until you get to the clear coat then use some polish on it to being the shine back to the clear coat.

yep...due to water damage on my entire passenger side of the truck, I had to wet sand it...It was my first time...but really easy! Just keep it wet and sand it until the rat comes off...the fender will then haze over....wash off the haze and buff and wax the hell out of it
