I currently have a lexus is250 awd that i am looking to trade in for an SUV. I have a little baby and the car seat will only fit if your elbows are on the dash.

I am looking at either a Yukon denali or an Escalade. I have been looking at the 2006 models, is there a better year i should be looking at as far as reliability? I am looking to stay in the 20-22k range. A few that i found have between 80-90k miles on them. Other than looks is there a reason to go with one or the other?

No, they're both great choices, and they're seriously dependable (as long as you care for them).

i have a denali, my dad has an escalade. they are both great vehicles and VERY similar, the main differences are the insurance and the fuel. my father is 61 and he told me his insurance is $200/yr more for escalade than it would be for a denali. also the motor in the escalade has alittle more compression and calls for premium fuel

I would like to say, be patient, and pray!

I too was in the same boat, instead I was in more of an upside down state then you were. I was in a 96 Honda, LOL! I sold that car and the idea was to put that as a down on a new 'hoe. I looked and looked, scoured high and low, comparison after comparison, I had tons of print outs, prices, and pictures on my computer desk. All the trucks I crossed were high mileage vehicles, in the same price range of 20-26K. Same as your findings. The day I sold my car, I began re-hunting making sure the trucks I had saw previously were still for sale. Logically I planned to check them out the following day. While doing that repeatedly, I was led to the truck I own now.

It's and 07 z71 4x2 w/ 49K miles and was priced @ 25.8. The KBB was 28.8. After negotiating I was at 23.5 OTD, where we ended up sealing the deal. I SURELY TRULY UNDOUBTEDLY BELIEVE THE LORD LED OUR FAMILY TO OUR CURRENT TRUCK! God may not be your cup of tea, but he's mine! And prayer helped. Not trying to preach, just hoping I've inspired you to not be discouraged by some figures. Keep hunting tirelessly, use all resources before you make your purchase. You owe yourself the best bang for the buck! Moral of the story is, have a lil faith, be patient, and GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and if i'm not mistaken the insurance is less as well
