Help me out guys, what's it worth?

Hey guys, my name is Jake, I've been a member here for a while mainly with the newer body stuff. Have a question for you 91-99 guys.

Couple months ago I bought a 1996 Tahoe 2WD (I live in Minnesota, pretty rare) I've wanted one for a while and finally came across it. I'm a car dealer so I thought it'd be a fun project to either keep or sell.

Here are the details: 1996 tahoe 2wd, custom painted midnight blue metallic, extreme air big suspension set up. custom 2 tone leather interior, roll pan, custom front bumper, blacked out front end, headers and exhaust, 20 inch black rims, new black carpet. 101,000 original miles, clean carfax. Basically restored the thing in a coupe months. Has a laundry list of new mechanical parts, fuel pump, power steering, whole new front end basically, blah blah. Runs and drives really well, bags all work good. ZERO rust anywhere, was from florida originally. Cool little truck.

My question to you guys is, what the hell is it worth? Gonna be a hard sell up here in Mn, so probably going to list it on ebay. Feel free to throw out any questions, and most importantly, what you think its worth.

With mods like that it really depends on what someone is willing to pay... Just the Tahoe itself is worth around 5-6k because it's clean. You can't really add the cost of mods into the price of the car. If its exactly what someone is looking for I could see it going for 8-10k

I'm basing that off Texas prices, could be different elsewhere... I've seen some like that on Craigslist down here that are asking 12-14k but they've been reposting them for several months

Alright, thanks for the feedback. I can't decide if it's more or less valuable because its up north. Haven't seen another 2wd bagged for sale yet.

Problem with custom stuff like that is not many people will pay very much for it sight unseen. I've seen tons of shoddy bag jobs, anywhere you go down here you'll see at least 1 bagged while your out

jake: check kelly's blue book, also ask a dealership for a trade-in price, that will give you an ideal what you can sell it for. NOTE: mn has few car shows coming up at the fairgrounds. put a sign on it and you may get lucky.

I am a dealer. Kelly blue book is no place to look for a custom vehicle.

Most dealerships won't touch that truck... Car shows are a good idea, I could see some young kid talking his parents into paying 8k for it.

Only 1 question. Does it have rust... If no rust and from the south then it will sell easily for even 8500 ish because yall northern folks have cars that rust out... They buy southern cars like wildfires destroy California lol

But yea coming from a dealer aswell I'd give u like 4-5 in reality for trade... And I'd sell for 10k but again dealer and not private party...

that one in Houston is ugly as sin IMO. i would say in miami you would ask bout 10$ and get talked down to about 8500ish.. but thats where mommy and daddy buy these kids everything... question is what did you pay for it???
