Just got an 05 denali xl with the 6.0, and ordered a spectre cold air intake. Next I would like to do an exhaust I dont want it to be loud but still sound nice when you step on it. It has to be able to go on long road trips without being annoying. But i also want something much less restrictive then stock to help my gas mielage. I was thinking about about just swapping mufflers to a magnaflow and a nice tip (about $200). Is that going to be a good set up or should i consider ordering a full cat back system? I'm on a budget

Also without going the cutom tune route, what programmers do you guys reccomend?

just add the magnaflow muffler, in the stock muffler location.

Yeh just add the magnaflow delete the resonator add a tip and you will be golden, just had my magnaflow installed it sounds great and i swear the truck feels stronger.

Cool, i planned on picking up a magnaflow performance muffler from auto anything, bout $65. What size pipe does the 6.0 exhaust have stock? When under the trick is there 2 cats and then a resonator? I like the corsa dual tip that comes with their cat back system, is there any other companies that have a similar tip that won't break the bank? Thanks for all the help

these guys are on the right track for a budget build for sure. Can't really beat the pricing on magnaflow for a full stainless muffler

YuuP. Magnaflow will sound good for the money. BUT Corsa is worth every penny

Cora's is wayy to much. What's a good dual in single out muffler for as cheap as possible? Or should I get a y pipe and a single in single out muffler?

run a set of calspeed headers with y pipe. run a 3.5" y pipe and full 3.5" 1 in 1 out magnaflows

Denali's have a resonator? Guess I never really looked that close when I've been under my truck, Hummmm. Might have to get rid of that bad boy soon!

Which is the resonator? I've seen multiple views. Does it look like the muffler? On my old truck it was clear which it was but I haven't studied the Denali exhaust yet.
