As the title says. Next week I am going to sit down and order some things for my BDay present. I already tossed way to much on a set of Snowmobiles and ATV's. So I got to budget the Tahoe stuff.

I have been searching around on Amazon and eBay for a new set of housings and here is what I have pulled up as ones I like. If you have a perferred set please let me know. I am not really a big fan of the "Halo" style since they really are not that bright. Not like my CCFL on my GF's Infiniti.

I am going to be running HID's in both low and highs if that makes a different.

Oh and if you might have a spare set of housings and want to offload them let me know!

I personally like the all chrome ones. They're really clean looking. Fyi, not the best idea to use hids for high beams because they need a few seconds to start up and get to full brightness. So you can't really flash people if you need to. But when used for dark roads you should be fine. I would just get some silverstars for the highs, but that's just my opinion.

Oh ok I was actually thinking of possibly now running 3000K on the highs and doing that 4 mod to have all run? But if that seems to over kill then I might just get some Silvania I do know I wouldnt use a normal high beam that often after swapping to HID.

The thing with black style ones is do you think they make a cut off line more sharp since the top and bottom of the housing is black? That was the only reason I picked those as an option.

Check out the lamp housings (in my album) I chose for my truck. I got them off Ebay.....
fairly reasonable, and put Sylvania Silverstar +'s in the highs, and lows.
Gotta' go w/the +'s with this brand/model..... brighter, and they last longer.

I'm just not much of a fan of the HID look/light disbursement pattern.

Actually in my opinion man i wouldnt get either of them, granted they are nice but once the headlights are turned on the bulb has nothing to reflect off of,notice on the factory headlights theres all those lines so the bulb is able to relect the light back..An i know because i purchased a set like these an the lighting was horrible even with my hids best best is to get a set like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/94-99-CHEVY...es&vxp=mtr&hash=item45f5073518#ht_4224wt_1014

Im going to be picking me up a set soon an notice on these theres a reflector so the light can bounce back..An it looks much cleaner in my opinion but to each man his own

Oh I I see what your saying the diamond piece that bounces light back. Do you think though fitting HID bulbs in there is an issue? I like those not bad price either though wish they included the turn signals etc

Thanks man, I just ben looking long and hard for a set that will work well with HID bulbs. I see that the piece has a screw that bolts inside their. I wonder if just unsealing the housing and unscrewing those and then possibly longer screw and a spacer to extend the length?
