Warning: I was into building a few systems when I was younger, but that was a decade and a few years ago. I remember BEFORE there was such a thing as Punch audio. I haven't even so much as looked at an amp or speaker since then, though.
I'm looking to not throw a lot of money in this, but I'll spend what I have to.
Here's what I'm thinking: my wife purchased a Kenwood head unit and had it installed in my Hoe to replace my stocker, and it came with free replacements in the front doors. That leaves the rear doors and roof panel speakers in the back to me. It looks like I can cut the roof deck to fit 6x9s, which I intend to do, and hopefully, I'll get better sound than the 4x10s.
Next, I want a little bass. I don't need to shake the houses, but I want it to sound pretty good. More importantly, it needs to be out of my way! I have no rear A/C, so that should leave the area behind the passenger side rear cargo panel empty, right? Do you think I could fit a 10 in a sealed box behind there and cut a hole in the panel for the speaker? Could the amp fit in the same area? It looks pretty tight in there. Is there a sub that would fit and function in box small enough to be back there?
