Does anyone have a link for a how-to video or anything to help me replace the side mirror glass on my 2011 Yukon Denali? Mine were recently stolen and I just got the new parts in. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
I believe there's a sticky in the exterior section for 07+ created by Timmy. It's pretty straight forward but you donhave to take the interior door panel off. How did they steal your mirrors anyway??
they stole just the glass on them, not the mirrors, i believe....the mirrors should be self explanatory, should be a plug for the blinker, plug for the defroster, and then snap the mirror in place...
I don't know how they stole my mirrors, I can only tell you that the glass is missing and everything else appears to be intact. I get the wiring, I can do that. I'm just not sure how to install the glass.
Yeah, that link 07Burb provided is for replacing the entire mirror not the the mirror lens.
My understanding is that it's a very delicate process and it's very easy to break the glass.
For stuff like that I just buy the part and bribe someone at a GM dealer body shop to fix it for me.
Just be careful if you undertake this yourself, although getting a new lens in is probably easier than taking an old one out. Hopefully they haven't damaged the mounting points otherwise the above linked thread might become useful after all.
I need help also my drivers side mirror shakes badly to the point that I'm afraid its gonna fly out one of these days. Lol have looked on youtube with no luck. I guess I'm going to have to run into it to see if it pops out without breaking lol J/K
