HELP!!! passanger door locked itself!!

Onstar was no help, which is understood. So now I am left with either towing the truck to the dealer in the morning, or hoping one of you guys have a remedy. I came home and noticed my wife left the front passenger door slightly open. Went to close it, and its locked. So it will not latch and seal to the car. just bounces right off. I have tried locking and unlocking and started and stoped the truck. If anyone has any idea how too solve this is would be much appreciated.

If you look at the door latch, you can usually see how that you can take a screwdriver and depress the latch back to its downward position; look at the "open" drivers door for comparison.

there was a mechanic problem with it, has been resolved!!
