I need to replace the temperature actuator (the one behind and to the left of the glove box) on my 1999 Tahoe. Replacing the mode actuator was easy as it was very easy to access. This one doesn't appear to be that way. I understand I need to remove the glove box, but what else can I do besides taking the entire dash apart to get to it? I would assume that the 12v plug and ash tray next to the glove box need to come out as well? I'd appreciate any help from anyone that has done this before. Thank you!

actually you need to unbolt the dash and roll it up slightly to get it out. screws up top and a bolt on either lower end of dash.
