So after about 2 months of sitting we replaced the fuel pump, strainer and filter. Starts up like a champ seemed to run fine, however, I just drove to corpus Christi and noticed it runs kinda funny over 65 mph. It's a weird feeling, it'll shake and feel I'm driving into strong wind. Like it wants to go but is held back. Is there a break in period after installing a new fuel pump? I literally put 2 miles on it before the trip. When idling it feels like it's missing so maybe plugs, wires, cap and rotor are next on the list. Any ideas?

Had that problem when I had fuel issues...turned out to be the pump as well as the fuel filter. Did you happen to change the filter as well? Also, when the pump was changed, what was the condition of the wiring harness for the fuel pump? Are you throwing any codes?

Yeah I replaced both. It's weird...it's just when I'm at 73-80 mph. Everything before and after is fine.

You sure it's not gusts of wind cause up here in Wichita close to the red riverits been really windy for a couple of days and I can feel the wind even when I'm parked so might that be it? If not then try the mechanic and see what he says. Might be something important or might be the tires are bad. My buddies was vibrating and feeling like wind was hitting it and when he got a new set then it smoothed out might be that the tire is weak and when it heats up at those speeds it starts to get bumpy and other weird stuff.
