i was going to put an 8 inch L7 under my second row of seats but there isnt enought room. I have the 3 rows in my z71 and the 2nd row has just the 2 bucket seat. I want to make a box that will fit in between the 2 seats and hawve a custom Z71 sewn into the carpet. i dont know how the dimensions convert into cubic feet for the proper box size. but here is the websight to show what i need for minimum box sizes i will probably do a un ported box. http://kicker.com/Solo-Baric_L7 help would be appreciated

measuring cubes is pretty easy.. if the box is square(or rectangle) all you do is measure the sides in inches.. then multiply and divide by this magic number.. 1728.. dont ask wy 1728.. i dont remember.. but its true.. make sure you subtract for speaker displacement.

So.. i.e. .. a Length/width/height of 12x30x10 = 3600 / 1728 = 2.08 cu/ft - .15 cu speaker displacement is a 1.93 cu/ft box

Because 12 x 12 x 12 = 1728, which is one cubic ft.:Handshake:

Also, don't forget, you need to measure the inside dimensions of the enclosure.

lol WOW that makes perfect sense.. lol.. i have just always know the number and i guess i just forgot why it was there..

and yea +1 to inside diameter.. another easy equation
Subtract (Thickness of Wood used) x2 from your L/W/H

So if its 3/4 inch mdf.. and the box is 12x12x12 then your math should really be 10.5 x 10.5 x 10.5
