Help. What is this pulley call.

I am stuck and trying to find this pulley. Don't think it is a tensioner but not sure what to ask for. . This is the upper left on a 5.3L

Well know I do think it's a tensioner.

It WAS a tensioner!

That happened on my friends 01 silverado. He just complained about a belt squeal. He brought it to me and that's what his looked like. And he drove it 20 highway miles to me like that.

I am 30 miles from home. It will spend the night while I borrow a car. Will get parts, tools, and tensioner to fix it in the morning. We had just got off the highway and parked. Went to investigate and that's what I found. I had zero warning.

Went and get the parts, pulley assembly, new belt. Bought the wrong belt, but the old one still looks new so I reused it for now. 15 min, and $35 later looks like new.
