Sorry if this has been asked before I'm currently working 7 days a week 12 hours a day and time isnt something I have alot of. Before Christmas I had a gmc canyon get totaled so I pulled my amp and sub and h.u. out. Yesterday I finally got paid from other drivers insurance. Purchased a 2004 gmc yukon denali (first yukon and I love it). The factory head unit i am not a fan of at all. It has bose, onstar, steering wheel controls, rear entertainment including DVD and radio and I'm sure a few other things to make aftermarket stereo a pain in --- for GM owners. I dont plan using onstar but would like to use Bose, definitely the rear entertainment, and steering wheel. I'm thinking about just putting my jvc double din in for now it's not DVD or touchscreen so I can have my digital media and bluetooth back. If I purchase the PAC RP5-GM11 is that the one everyone is using or is there a better one? Should I just go purchase a new head unit with touch screen or will the one I have be fine for now? I havent made my mind up about installing the 10" sub and amp bc i will have to make new box and then one for canyon was such a pain in arse to build idk if i want to even mess with it lmao. Sorry for long question just need to give a back story i guess.
Are you asking if you should use your old JVC double din that you already have, or if you should buy a new one? If you are that's on you....
As for subwoofer, read this, then if you have any questions. Not sure if you have one single sub, and only guessing that if it was in a Colorado, its a shallow mount.

If you were talking about a larger sub, and making a box for the cargo area, that's something else.
