Help with leak please

So I have a leak at the rear main seal.

Guy at the shop said "it's nothing out the ordinary" and I don't really need to do anything about it if I don't want to. He said it's a very minor leak but I'm very **** about these kinds of things and want to get it fixed.

If I don't get it fixed can it lead to any other problems?

It's leaking about the diameter of a tennis ball overnight or maybe a tad less. It doesn't leave a puddle but a stain

The rear main seal and the oil pan gasket usually start leaking after 120,000 miles. I did mine and its not an easy task I suggest taking it to a shop. Be ready to cough up at least $1,200 to do both gaskets. You have to do them at the same time because the rear main seal cover and the oil pan bolt up together. Don't waste your money doing one and not the other.

If I do the rear main seal do you still think I should do the oil pan gasket even though that's not leaking?

Also $1200 seams pretty high. I got 3 different quotes on the rear main seal replacement. $250, $400 and $600. The two cheaper ones were through transmission shops.

You are getting hook up if they quoted you those prices. All the places I went to wanted $900 plus $300 for theoil pan gasket. And if i did not do the oil pan they would not warranty the work. they stated that the oil pan usually leaks right after the rear main seal. The picture attach shows how the rear main seal is also bolted to the oil pan gasket
