I was sitting in my truck tonite idling in the parking lot before I went into work. listening to music as I normally do for a few minutes. as I was sitting, I randomly had a lock looking light pop on my dash. ive only seen this light if im outside the truck, and lock it. ill see it pop on for a few seconds and shut off. I googled for the light that was on my dash, as I didn't know exactly what its called. and saw some threads related to it as passlock? I don't know if im about to have an issue with it, or what. or if it was just a flook that it came on for a minute or 2.
I do have another thread about a crank no fire issue, but that is normally resolved by swapping ignition relay out. don't know if theyre tied together as when the truck didn't start, I never had this lock light on my dash.

A failing battery can cause weird electrical symptoms that are not logical.

I have had an equinox and a duramax equipped pickup both have strange electrical problems. Changing out the batteries fixed them both. I think that loose internal battery connections can create electrical "noise" or interference in the various computerized modules in these vehicles.

i don't know if the battery is weak or not. the truck starts fine, and doesn't pull down hard. and my volt meter in the dash stays in the same area

The battery does not have to appear weak to cause problems. A battery or alternator can have internal problems which can cause strange symptoms. I suppose as a last resort, you could try changing out the battery if nothing else works. In your other thread you mentioned a problem with intermittent starting problems.
