Hello everyone. I am new to the tahoe scene and have a huge dilemma that I need serious help with. I recently bought a 1999 tahoe, 4 Dr, 4wd gas. Beautiful truck. Great deal...or so I thought. It came with 15x12 inch weld rims and 33x12.5x15 mud tires which need replacing soon. It also has 3 inch lift blocks in back but I don't know if it has aftermarket keys or oem because when the keys are lowered the tires rub like crazy. Now here's my problem. I love the look of the truck and I want to keep the wheels and tire size. But I'm afraid that it is putting too much stress on the front end parts. I already had to replace the shocks, the brakes, and the left front wheel bearing. Now my cv boots ripped open and sprayed grease everywhere. What would yall recommend? I can't afford a full suspension lift and need to do most of the work myself if not all of it. Would trimming the fenders work? They are already beat up from tire rub so I wouldn't mind trimming them. The shocks I got are rancho rw5000 that are made for up to a 4" lift so I really don't want to have to get new shocks too. I'm really short on money but I love my truck. Please help me!!!

With Torsion adjustments i think 3" is kinda pushing.. So yeah would definatly eat up your CV's pretty quick. Could definatly try trimming a bit see if it helps some. Possibly even a body lift (They are cheaper then a suspension lift and would allow clearance of your tires) Sun, Chime in on this.. I know your the guru =0) Thanks bud.

Invest in body lift for cheap good lift. You can keep the 33s with them and can lower the keys

15x12? i thought i was pushing it with 10 wides.. i have ebay keys that are indexed to give 3 inches so i feel like yours has oem keys that are cranked to the max. honestly my cv angles arent too terrible (not good but it could be worse) and havent had problems with boots cracking and thats on top of using it off road regularly. you may want to trim and downsize to a 32 when you get new tires cause if its rubbing that bad with old 33s just imagine what new ones would be like.
