Haha he may like changing his wheels up (I do too), but once you drop the coin for those forged wheels and Pirelli tires, you are in it for the long run. Kind of like how it may be harder to want a divorce months after you buy a real expensive engagement ring.

:lol2: Well, put sir!! :D

Wow Serge you got parts ordered up quick.
I hope you scooped some LED protectors for those DRLs or they will be all blown within month due to the high voltages the DRL power supply sees upon start up on a sunny day.

The sooner I finish moding the sooner I can sell her. :D

Interesting, Ive never ran those on any of my trucks and never had one burn out on me. Are you sure I need these?

I sure needed them on my Tahoe.
Back in late 07 I put LEDs in my DRLs and they were blown in two weeks (little clusters of LEDs on the bulb were slowly going out).
So I bought another set and the same happened. Then I bought another and the same happened a third time.
So then I bought the protectors from Autolumination and installed a fourth set and they have been fine for almost five years now.

Okay I'll look into it. I must confess I've had terrible luck with autolumination with their products constantly failing, and then having to get into arguments with them with them telling me I did something wrong and they won't replace a faulty product, even when it was faulty out of the box, so I don't use them any more.

Never had a single v-led bulb fail to date. But that may just be random luck as most of these bulbs are made in factories within a stone's throw from each other in China.

But I guess it won't hurt to have those protectors there, so I might as well.

Thanks. :)

Yeah the only downside to the protectors is that day cut the output of the DRL a good 40%. But I guess that is the only way to do them right.
The initial high voltage, and the pulsing voltage while driving, is the cause of so many GM SUVs/Trucks having one DRL bulb blown on the road.

Quick q for anyone who might know ...

I'm transferring my tires and tpms from my current setup over to the platinum wheels.

I'm guessing I need new valve stems as well ... if so, does anyone know which ones I need?

I have no idea on any of this.

Remember when I fubared my CK375, the one that you now use as a coffee table? :)

I remember when they swapped the tire from the old rim to the new one the tire shop and I were in a panic cause they didn't have a spare valve stem. Eventually they found one to use, but I was left with the impression that one needs new ones when transferring tires from one set of rims to another.
