Dang I need to find it because I have never replaced mine. Guy at Autozone told me I didn't have one. Said it was built in to the fuel sending unit.

I doubt yours would be different since mine is a Z71, but it is possible.

Could one of you explain exactly where to look because I have been looking everywhere underneath that *****. Is it tucked up inside the frame because I followed the fuel lines and they run right next to and above the fuel tank then branched off into a unit with like four or five outlet stainless steel tubing. I would appriciate any guidance becase mine has never been changed either? Please help. Do I need to take anything off from the Yukon to get to it?

04+ flex fuel - it's in the tank and you don't service it.
05+ - in the tank, flex and non flex

If your 04 is non-flex, it will be at the fuel line underneath the driver's door.

Omar I don't know if my Tahoe is Flex fuel. But like the other guy said I followed the lines to a box, which I assumed was the fuel sending unit.. One guy at autozone said I didn't have another said I did. :emotions122: I guess I need to find out if I'm Flex.
Sorry Jonathan not intending to jack your thread.

My 04 is a Flex Fuel and it is right around the transmission crossmember.

05+ - in the tank, flex and non flex

Just checked some tuning files:

04+ non flex is in the tank
05+ flex is in the tank

Good update.

With 2004 being the changing year, I wouldn't be surpised if you found a little of both flex/non-flex with either in-tank or serviceable in the early builds.

All 04 flex fuels have a return fuel system, with the fuel filter inline before the regulator. The intank systems have the regulator in the tank after the fuel filter.

Since the programming is different, there won't be any trucks with mismatched leftover parts.
