Tony -- A buddy has an Esky that he doesn't want to put spindles on... Just wants to lower the rear 2". I told him that I thought the 5305s might be too low (I don't want him to have to go through the autoride link adjustment nonsense I went through when I lowered only my rear). Which spring (and kit) will give him the 5305-like ride, but only get him down 2" in the rear?

Thanks!

His Esky was delivered last night so I'm sure he's a little preoccupied. :laughing1:

He will chime in sooner or later...

Well I had the 3/4 kit on my tahoe for a week but I added a second spacer on the top of the spring to make it a 2" lowering kit. It did ride great but I don't have auto ride.

Sorry guys ive been at the ctsv shootout here in florida and just got back.

All you would need to do is add another 1 inch spacer and you will be fine.

I know this is going to sound pretty ghetto, but I just chopped my rear springs 1.75" and it works and rides great. I would never do this on my other vehicles but the Escalade is my work truck and really never does any 'serious' high speed driving so I'm content with it. If anyone decides to do this, chop the top coils not the bottom. They stay in their perches just fine and I saw no noticable change in ride quality. I can't recommend doing this for a drop of 2" or more though...then, I'd go with proper springs and do the front at the same time with spindles.
