Hello,

I have a 1999 Yukon Denali and, as the title suggests, my high beams are not working. When i flip the lever, nothing happens, the indicator light on the dash does not come on either. Any suggestions where to start?

FYI - i have HIDs installed; but this problem is recent, the hi beams worked before with them. could the HIDs be affecting the hi beams?

FYI #2 - the DRL (green headlight?) indicator is constantly illuminated on the instrument panel.. morning, noon, and night. could this be related?

Visual inspection of the bulbs show no signs of damage, i thought it might be too rare for both to blow out at the same time.

Any thoughts would help, thanks in advance!

if you turn on your headlight switch all the way and the drl light does not go out and you high beams do not work and the low beam does not shut off when switching to high and you do not have a 4-hi mod installed, your headlight switch or it fuse protection is faulty. when headlights are turned on the same circuit that powers the the high/low switch also tells the drl module to shut down its lighting relay in turn turning off the drl indicator and allow the beam switch to have control.
