So my friend and i were talking about the kits that ive been giving him and he asked me if you could run HID in the DRLs. I said yeah im sure i carry the bulb, wrong, no company makes a 3157 HID. Sooooooo what bulb should i order that is the closest fit. Im sure the same would apply for HID reverse lights since they use 3157 too.

I need something that would match his 8000k lows and fogs though. The LEDs ive seen are right around 5000 to 6000

i used 9003 HIDs in my DRLs... i had to trim the plastic around the bulb a little and it fit pretty tight, then i put a small amount of clear silicone around the edge to keep the bulb from backing out but no problems so far and they've been in there almost a year.

I've actually kicked around the idea of HID tail lights.. It would just be a high/low set up.. Just run a relay and when you hit the brake lights the highs would kick on but lows would stay on. I dunno.. Work in progress :hands:

I know for the reverse lights you just have to trim a little, should be the same for DTRLs. Let us know what you find out or end up doing
