do you have reflector lights too?

DenaliAK is right but, I haven't been flashed once. Mine are adjusted down a bit. If your getting 55w I wouldnt get 5000k-9000k because your light will be really white and will blind people. Thats why I got 12k because the light is bright but not blinding.
I thought HID's required reflectors? Killer's thread looks just like my 02 Yukon. We had a loaner car with HID's and my wife loves them, so now thinking about it too. Abn Panzer, what did you decide to get? Does the 04 Tahoe have projectors already? Thanks
To all, Thanks. Made me a lot more confident in the purchase.
Going to go with the 35w 5k.
I'm running stock Headlights so understand I will have to reaim these to prevent blinding people. Also decided on these as a small concern for heat & trying to prevent damage to the reflector. Same with the Fogs.
Eventually I will will upgrade to projectors then rethink my 35 vs 50w choice. At the prices they are offered at it wont be that much of an addition.
Also figure once I go & return from Afgh I should have more than enough money set aside to either 1) do a lot to this one, or 2) pick up a newer Yahoe/Yukon while still doing some to both.
Again, cant thank you guys enough for the assist.
The part that's wrong is what color is worse to other drivers. The whiter and more natural the light, the better. It is slightly brighter from an output lumens standpoint but the light is easier on the eyes. It's all fairly complicated and well documented, though. It has to do with the ensuing glare from the lights. Very basically, the more "sun-colored" it is, the easier it is on human eyes because that's what we're genetically coded for. Blue light is not natural, and causes more glare issues for on-coming drivers, especially older people. It has to do with light wave-lengths and refraction and whatnot.
I partly agree. The GM reflectors in trucks actually do a fairly good job of directing the light, so as long as they are well-aimed it shouldn't be an issue.
