I installed a 6000k hid kit on my Tahoe LT. Looks greT at night and a lot better light output, the only issue is my headlights are also the DRLs. I would love to figure out a way to disable them and enable the led strips that are built into the headlights (basically operate like a Tahoe LTZ) anyone have any ideas???

I think the only thing you can do is just turn your head light switch to the parking lights, which activates your LED strip. The LT models have a dim light out put on the LEDs compared to the LTZ.

Which HID kit did you go with and where did you purchase it from?

Sounds like it might be possible to have the DRLs coded to use the LEDs instead like the LTZ but I don't think I've read of anyone doing it so far.

The only correct way to do what your wanting to do is it have your ECU reprogrammed. There is some company that will do it for like $2-300 but I can't think of their name. The down side is your vehicle is out of commission while you remove your ECU and ship it to them for programming and get it back to reinstall.....
