ive got an 02 Yukon denali and have aftermarket hids installed. my problem is everytime I turn the key on the hids come on like they are supposed to but when I start the vehicle the passenger side goes out. if I turn the key on and hit the dome override to kill the automatic lights and start the vehicle and then turn the lights on manually then the lights work fine. is there a solution to fix this problem? everything is wired correctly and it has a relay harness.

Set your parking brake so the HIDs don't 'flash' when you turn the key. They'll both ignite once it's started and you release the brake.

Set your parking brake, that will keep the lights off until your ready to go.
I have a 01 that I just did some HID's on. Funny that your mention it, my pass side would work fine and then stop. come to find that the OEM plug and the HID harness weren't playing well together. I did a little cleaning and then tightened up the connector. Now all is good.

Another thing to try is to switch ballasts to the opposite side and see if the problem follows.

I can't remember which is which but I do know that 1st generation HID ballasts were DC current (the way they wired inside the ballasts) and everyone had problems with ballasts and then they started making the ballasts AC current and now the failure rate of ballasts is a lot less likely.. my .02 cents on ballasts
