Greetings everyone. I have an '03 Yukon XL that I have been having the hardest time with keeping my right side HID Light on. It flickers sometimes and sometimes it will come on and then eventually go off. Every so often it will come on and stay on. I have changed the ballast and the bulb twice. I have heard that there is an issue with the right side voltage in our trucks. Is this the case and has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Are you running a relay harness or just plug and play set-up?
Just the plug and play...Funny thing is I have NEVER had an issue with the left side. Wouldn't think voltage would be a problem considering I am running two batteries, a upgraded alternator and a Kinetik power cell..

Are they DDM or Apexcone HID's by any chance?

For some reason, that's a fairly common problem with them, and always on the passenger side. Nobody I've talked to can figure out why.

SW CT,
You need to add a relay to turn them on...the reason for the pass. side to be the one not to come on is the wiring is longer than the drivers side and voltage loss is just enough to make the ballast not fire. Doesn't matter what upgrades you did to your charging system..if you can't get the power to the ballast its useless.

Search Switch Smart, nice harness that gives the ballast the voltage needed to stop start up and flickering issues.
