HID Projectors WITHOUT halo's or LED's

Guys,

I know there are a TON of threads on here about headlight mods....but frankly, as I read through a few of them, my head just starts spinning. So I wanted to just ask the simple question: Are there any of you guys running HID projector lamps that don't have Halo's or LED's?

I've see a few members that do have Halo's and LED's and it's just not for me. I am assuming that you can take most any upgrade housing (i.e. a new projector housing), and install HID bulbs/ballasts and make it work?

If anyone is running this set up, please let me know what brand/cost/difficulty and if you have pics, that would be great too.

My birthday's comin up and my wife wants gift ideas!!!!

good luck you know im in the same boat as you. Halo's and leds can be nice but i appreciate the stock look of the car without overdoing it. which is why im just looking for a clean set of headlights that look stock with a projector on it. I already have a hit kit and for now ill just have to settle with my stock headlights but i dont know how nice it will come out. THe output and cutoffs and ofcourse the prism effect that the projection lights give off.

I have seen some people on here comment..."Just make your own"

I guess I'm not real sure what they mean? Is there a way to cut the existing housing and "insert" a projector housing into it?

Doesn't really matter, I don't think I have the go-**** to cut up my existing housings anyway!

well you can always buy lights off of ebay to do your project lights. its not that expensive. you'll have to buy your own procjectors. probably the infiniti fx lights. there are about 170 at http://store.theretrofitsource.com/index.php?cPath=25&osCsid=7c3941bcb3bc2c0ad9bc67f4d4ec598f
